Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Cook in Concord to prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold items for all meal periods and events. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, ensuring safety, quality, and sanitation while maintaining an organized workstation.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 0–2 years of experience, and basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food-handling procedures. Open availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with federal, state and corporate standards to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, and serving foods.
• Taste products, estimate quantities, check production, and keep records for production planning.
• Significant walking or other means of mobility.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods, up to 8+ hours.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Attends work and is on time for scheduled shifts.
• Other duties may be assigned based on client requirements.
