Job summary

No Other Pub is a one-of-a-kind sports bar in downtown Kansas City, offering a fast-casual taco stand and a chef-inspired menu alongside a gaming parlor. We are seeking a Cook with at least one year of fast-paced kitchen experience, culinary certification preferred, and strong teamwork and math skills to manage portions and inventory.

Responsibilities include preparing orders, maintaining sanitation, restocking, and coordinating with other departments.

Qualifications

• At least one year of cooking on a fast-paced kitchen line.
• Culinary certified training preferred.
• Basic cooking knowledge, following recipes and portion control.
• Strong reading/writing for recipes and inventory tasks.
• Alcohol awareness certification or food handler card as required.

Responsibilities

• Control food usage to minimize waste.
• Prepare and cook orders for daily operations promptly.
• Advise supervisor on low inventory and assist in receiving items.
• Restock items as needed during the shift.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness to health standards.
• Keep work area clean and organized including reach-ins and counters.
• Report unsafe equipment to supervisor.
• May assist with ware washing or other kitchen duties.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with other departments; may interact with guests.
• Perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
