Job summary

Guy Fieri's Dive & Taco Joint in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Barback to support the bar team and ensure smooth service.

You will perform basic prep, refill ice, restock beer and liquor, change kegs, and help keep the bar clean and organized while delivering friendly, professional service. Experience in fast-paced venues and strong communication with guests and coworkers are valued. Fluent English required; nights/weekends work may be needed.

Qualifications

• Food service experience with knowledge of bar/nightclub operations.
• Must speak fluent English; other languages preferred.
• Must be at least age 18 or older, depending on state regulations.
• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests, cooks, wait staff, and supervisors.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
• Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when taking orders, completing paperwork, etc.
• Mathematical skills, including basic math are used frequently.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Show energetic, outgoing, fun personality while staying professional.
• Perform basic prep: refill ice, restock beer/liquor, cut garnishes.
• Change empty kegs in keg room and move full kegs.
• Maintain a clean, tidy bar by cleaning up spills and trash.
• Organize bar and drinkware.
• Clear and clean bar in a timely manner.
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Provide polite, professional customer service.
• Communicate clearly and humorously with coworkers and guests.
• Complete all assigned side work.
