Job summary

Sodexo in Bellevue is seeking a Cook I to prepare, portion, cook and present a variety of hot and cold items for meals and events, following Sodexo's culinary standards. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, ensuring safety, accuracy, and cleanliness at all times.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, 0–2 years of experience, and ability to follow recipes and instructions. Benefits include PTO, medical/dental/vision, and more.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current applicable standards to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow basic recipes and directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, and serving foods.
• Estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records for production planning.
• Significant walking or other means of mobility.
• Able to stand for extended periods, potentially longer than 8 hours.
• Lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Perform repetitive motions and maintain a clean workstation.
• Attend shifts on time and fulfill other duties as required.
