Job summary

Beyond Catering in Illinois is seeking a Cook to prepare food to high-quality standards and maintain a sanitary workspace. You will follow given recipes and uphold Buona standards while handling multiple positions on the line.

The role requires following recipes, maintaining portion control, and ensuring all dishes meet quality before serving guests. Experience in a fast-paced kitchen and a Food Handler certificate are preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and positive attitude.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must obtain Food Handler certificate.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Learn positions: Beef, Pizza, Broiler, Cafe/Salads & Prep.
• Follow recipes and food preparation processes (cooking, seasoning, grilling, chopping, dicing, cutting and slicing).
• Maintain portion control and monitor food levels on the line.
• Prepare quality food that meets Buona standards.
• Ensure all food is made properly before serving guests.
• Restock food line.
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Be speedy and accurate in fulfilling orders.
• Handle raw and finished waste according to procedures.
• Act with urgency with all guests (dine-in, takeout, drive-thru).
• Washing cookware and utensils and cleaning equipment as assigned.
• Cleaning and sanitizing as needed.
• Other duties as assigned
