Food City in Whitesburg, KY is seeking a friendly Food Service Associate to support the store's mission to Run the Best Store in Town. You will greet customers, provide prompt service, and help prepare foods in the Food Service department.

No experience required, but must be 18+ and able to stand on-site. Flexible schedules, weekly pay, and benefits such as 401(k) with company match and health coverage are available.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food service experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and courteous customer service.
• Maintain a positive, friendly atmosphere with teamwork.
• Greet customers and respond promptly.
• Prepare food for the Food Service department per guidelines.
• Prepare and produce quality food and products to meet expectations.
• Assist in restocking and rotating products.
• Follow Food Safety program.
• Keep workstation clean and organized.
• Assist in ordering product and supplies.
• Ensure packaged products for self-service are properly weighed and labeled.
