Job summary

Tempe Mission Palms in Tempe, AZ is seeking an Intermediate Cook/Cafeteria Attendant to prepare and maintain a multi-item hot and cold lunch menu under the Executive Chef. Responsibilities include prepping, cooking, displaying in the staff dining room, and keeping the area clean.

Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen, banquet or catering is preferred. Opportunity to grow into other culinary positions within the hotel; shifts are 6:30 am to 2:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Must be able to repetitively lift, push, pull & carry up to 15 lbs., frequently up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat frequently.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that will likely include weekends and holidays; all shifts are 6:30 am to 2:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clear dining room daily; dining room is up a flight of stairs, so stairs climbing required.
• Prepare and maintain a multi-item hot and cold lunch menu created by the Executive Chef.
• Cook, prep and display meals in the staff dining room; maintain dining room cleanliness.
• Keep dining area clean and restock coffee/soda stations.
