Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking a Kitchen/Culinary Supervisor for Tempe Mission Palms Hotel in Tempe, AZ. This full-time role oversees kitchen operations, supervises hourly cooks, and ensures a consistent, quality product that meets guest expectations.

You will work with the culinary team on scheduling, cost control basics, and staff development. Flexibility is required to cover weekends and holidays; opportunities exist to grow within Hyatt's hospitality platform.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of a kitchen operation
• Skills and knowledge to include culinary education, basic cost control understanding, basic communication, leadership skills and computer skills
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
• Refined verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that will likely include, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly cooks and maintain quality of meals

• Assist in payroll cost monitoring and overtime control
• Step in for Sous Chef as needed
