Job summary

Hulsing Hotels is seeking a motivated Line Cook to join our Delta Bristol team in Bristol, VA 24202. The successful candidate will prepare items precisely and on time, adhere to hotel standards, and represent the hotel professionally to guests, while supporting guest satisfaction and smooth kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Performs all methods of cooking and portion control per hotel specifications.
• Knowledge of all kitchen equipment (ovens, grills, fryers, steam tables, mixers, knives, slicers).
• Maintains food line and stock levels.
• Stocking/restocking as needed and maintains cleanliness of cooking equipment.
• Notifies supervisor of safety hazards and customer complaints.
• Ensures proper handling and storage of all food.
• Maintains clean professional appearance and protects company assets.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job DetailsJob Location: Delta Bristol - Bristol, VA 24202 Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Salary Range: $14.00 - $16.00 Hourly Job Category: Restaurant - Food Service Line Cooks are responsible for preparing items precisely and in a timely manner in accordance to established hotel standards, representing the hotel to all guests, assisting with guest needs, and completing all daily duties and assigned projects utilizing the principles, policies and standards of Hulsing Hotels.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performs all methods of cooking and portion control in accordance with hotel specifications.
• Must have working knowledge of all kitchen equipment including but not limited to; ovens, grills, broilers, fryers, steam tables, mixers, knives, slicers, etc.
• Properly uses all kitchen equipment and ensures the proper and safe use of all equipment.
• Maintains food line to ensure that all required items are properly stocked.
• Continuously stocks and restocks items as needed.
• Maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation of all cooking equipment used during specified shift.
• Completes all assigned cleaning functions as specified by supervisor during working shift.
• Notifies supervisor of all potential safety hazards, as well as all customer complaints.
• Responsible for ensuring that all food is properly handled and stored.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
