Job summary

American Senior Communities is hiring a Cook for Bethlehem Woods in Indiana. This full-time day shift position includes every other weekend and a part-time day/evening flex shift. You will prepare and serve nutritious meals while upholding sanitation and safety standards for our residents.

Responsibilities include following menus, leading kitchen tasks, and maintaining equipment and storage. Preferred is sanitation certification and prior institutional/healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Preferred: Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification.
• Prior institutional or healthcare service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares meals meeting residents’ nutritional needs.
• Cooks meals in required quantities and ensures palatability and nutrition.
• Leads kitchen staff with food preparation, assembling trays, and storage.
• Maintains a clean and safe food service workspace during preparation and service.
• Handles food storage and disposal per procedures and state/federal regulations.
