Job Description

Plan, prep, set up, and provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials in the designated outlets, following standards and plating guide specifications. Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment.

  1. Maintain knowledge of departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
  2. Use equipment correctly and maintain it properly.
  3. Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests.
  4. Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
  5. Be familiar with hotel services and local attractions to respond to guest inquiries.
  6. Resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  7. Keep work areas clean, organized, and sanitized.
  8. Comply with sanitation and health regulations.
  9. Meet with the Chef de Partie/Sous Chef to review assignments and upcoming business.
  10. Complete opening duties, including equipment setup, inspection, and prep work.
  11. Organize prep items and ensure readiness for service.
  12. Prepare menu items following recipes and standards.
  13. Report shortages and supply needs to the Sous Chef.
Qualifications
  1. At least 1-year experience as a Cook in a full-service hotel or restaurant.
  2. High school diploma or equivalent vocational training.
  3. Culinary training or apprenticeship certification.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  5. Basic arithmetic skills.
  6. Ability to follow and adapt recipes.
