Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in quantity food production using a cook/chill system.
• Commercial, institutional or school food service lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid food handler's permit; SNA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cook/chill system and plan/direct daily production to meet nutritional requirements.
• Maintain HACCP compliance and sanitation procedures; train staff in proper food handling.
• Develop new recipes that comply with nutrition standards and rotate inventories.
• Schedule daily production, maintain recipe files, and monitor food and supply needs.
• Oversee raw meat preparation and ensure highest standards of food safety.
• Collaborate with the central kitchen manager to support district kitchens.
