Job summary

US Air Mobility Command on Dover Air Force Base is seeking a FLEX grill attendant for Eagle Creek Golf Course. This Non-appropriated Fund position provides as-needed hours (0–40 per week) and requires reliability, cash handling, and food preparation skills.

You will follow safety procedures, operate grill and food prep equipment, prepare and present menu items, take orders, and process payments. Open to applicants meeting the experience criteria; pre-employment checks apply.

About the position:

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Grill at Eagle Creek Golf Course on Dover Air Force Base.

As a FLEX employee, you may work anywhere between 0-40 hours per week, on an as needed basis.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:

Must have experience in and knowledge of methods and procedures relating to food preparation and presentation gained in a grill, snack bar, restaurant, club or similar food activity. Ability to follow oral and written instructions, work safely, do simple arithmetic problems, and making change when receiving payments from customers. Knowledge of operating and cleaning food service equipment, characteristics of various foods, and the ability to season food and decide when foods are done is required. Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time. Must also have experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, or other processing of cash items when this includes (1) direct handling of cash items, and (2) use of cash accountability control methods. Must be able to complete Food Handler's training and/or ServSafe Manager Course. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
