Overview

Seashore Senior Living is hiring a Cook. This is a full-time role with a role impacting residents daily through meal preparation. Compensation is $18.00 per hour. Location: New Smyrna Beach, FL.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals that are nutritious, appetizing, and appealing according to company menus and recipes, as well as physician orders.
• Ensure food and supplies are available for meals planned.
• Prepare and serve food attractively and punctually.
• Oversee procedures for covering, dating, labeling, and storing food in a timely manner.
• Assist with cleaning the kitchen after meals according to the cleaning schedule, including preparation and service areas, pots and pans, kitchen surfaces, walls, and floors.

Qualifications

• One year of relevant experience working in a restaurant or assisted living environment.
• The ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Have a passion for food and service.
• Desirous or caring for a garden that provides fresh foods to residents.
• Maintain food handlers certification such as ServSafe.
• Working knowledge of food safety procedures, sanitation measures, and storage protocols.
• A heart for working with senior adults and their families.

Schedule & Location

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 12-hour days. 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
