Job summary

Bell Tower Residence is seeking a compassionate cook to provide nutritious meals for residents and maintain clean, sanitized kitchen spaces in compliance with state and federal laws.

The role is part-time with on-site shifts (10:00am-6:30pm), every other weekend and rotating holidays. The cook will also support basic dietary needs, interact with residents, and participate in sanitation and safety protocols.

• Must have good communication skills.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Operates, cleans and sanitizes food service equipment and work area.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and follows the sanitation standards.
• Ability to interact appropriately with residents, public and co-workers.
• Prepares and serves food according to portion control guides and diet restrictions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions.
• Plans and schedules work day to meet meal deadlines.
• Has basic knowledge of special diets and that they are served correctly.
• Other duties: Completes all other duties as assigned.

• Prior experience as a Cook in a long-term care setting
