Jefferson Community Health & Life is seeking a full-time Cook/Assistant Cook for the Nutrition Services Department.

Hours: 11:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Must be able to work every-other weekend and rotating holidays.

Compensation: Weekend Shift Differential: $4.00 more per hour.
Worked Holiday Pay: Time and a half for most holidays, double time for Christmas.
Short Notice Bonus: 40% more pay for hours not scheduled if called in less than 24 hours in advance.

Position Summary

Prepares high-quality foods for patients, residents, tenants, employees, and visitors following standardized recipes and proper safety and sanitation requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 required
• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years cooking experience preferred
• Experience cooking for healthcare facilities is a plus
• Able to receive written and verbal instructions in English
• Excellent organizational skills
