Job summary

The Arcadia Family of Companies is seeking a Cook to join our Honolulu kitchen team, providing wholesome family-style meals to residents, visitors, and staff.

Full-time roles offer 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm shifts, competitive hourly pay, plus benefits such as healthcare, retirement savings, paid time off, and meal privileges. Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn as needed.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare wholesome family-style meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Maintain sanitary food preparation and portioning practices.
• Assist with delivery-related tasks and helping staff during service.

What You’ll Do

Join our culinary team as a Cook to prepare wholesome family-style meals that bring joy to our residents, visitors, and employees every day .

Shifts Available:

• Full-Time (Work 35 to 40 hours per week): 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm, open availability

Pay range: $19.17 - $20.44

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes in a sanitary manner to ensure quality with minimum waste.
• Reviews food menus and work orders todeterminetype and quantities of food to be prepared and toidentifyall foodsrequiredfor therapeutic diets before preparation.
• Preps,measuresand mixes ingredients according to recipes.
• Assistsdriver with preparation of meals and loading and unloading of items for delivery.
• Portions and arrangesfood anddistributes to waitstaff to be served.
• Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
• Labels and dates all food itemsin accordance withfood storage chart.
• Receives, checks-in, dates and stocks deliveries inappropriate areas.
• Ensures food products are cooked and served in compliance with State of Hawaii Department of Health sanitation standards.
• Performs the necessary duties for emergency drills and situations such as fire, fire alarms, hurricanes, and otherpossible emergenciesas outlined in the Disaster Response Playbook.
• Interacts with residents/clients and co-workers with patience, understanding and kindnessin accordance withthe Arcadia Family of Companies mission and core values.

Education/Experience

Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
