Job summary

Arcadia Family of Companies is seeking a dedicated Waitstaff member for the AFC Workforce Center in Honolulu. You will help provide outstanding dining experiences for residents, members, clients, and guests, while performing standard waitstaff duties and maintaining service quality.

The role emphasizes courteous interaction, accurate order input, and teamwork to support flexible staffing in multiple communities. Training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school graduate preferred.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Familiar with POS systems and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take beverage and food orders promptly.
• Enter orders into the POS system accurately.
• Serve food and beverages to residents and guests courteously.
• Address residents' concerns and relay feedback to managers.
• Perform side-work and opening/closing duties as required.
• Keep waitstaff stations clean and maintained during shifts.
• Participate in drills for emergencies per Disaster Response Playbook.
• Interact with residents and co-workers with patience and kindness.

AFC Workforce Center

• This position is part of the Workforce Center, a dedicated team of employees who provide flexible staffing support across multiple communities. Workforce Center employees help ensure seamless coverage during vacations, extended leaves, and staffing shortages.
• No set schedule; work a minimum of two 8-hour shifts per month

Responsibilities

• Greets all guests and takes beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner.
• Prepares food and beverages for service to residents and guests in compliance with all health and safety regulations and presentation standards.
• Accurately enters orders into the POS system.
• Serves food and beverages to residents and guests with accuracy in a courteous,timely, and professional manner, meeting or exceeding guest service standards and expectations.
• Works with and follows up with Supervisors and Managers to address and respond to residents’ concerns and requestsin regard tofood quality, service, and related matters.
• Provides Managers and Supervisors with continuous feedback from residents on food preparation, presentation, and taste.
• Performs side-work and other opening or closing duties as required.
• Ensures that waitstaff stations are clean andmaintainedthroughout the shift.
• Performs the necessary duties for emergency drills and situation such as fire, fire alarms, hurricanes, and other possible emergencies as outlined in the Disaster Response Playbook.
• Interacts with residents/clients and co-workers with patience, understanding and kindness in accordance with Arcadia Family of Companies’ mission and core values.

Education/Experience

High schoolgraduate preferred.Prior customer service experience preferred.

Computer Skills

Use of computers, working knowledge of POS system and software applications to input and research data.
