Andaz Miami Beach is seeking a Cook 3 to join our team. The role involves food preparation across stations in a large kitchen, following recipes, and maintaining safety and cleanliness. The property highlights ocean views, upscale dining, and guest-focused service.

Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa is now recruiting a Cook 3 to join our team. The property boasts 287 guestrooms including 64 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach. The design features elements of texture, art, and pops of color that create a unique and captivating experience. Each suite is designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, most with deep-soaking tubs, and cozy reading nooks. Guests can also enjoy private outdoor terraces with stunning views of the Atlantic and the Miami skyline. Unmatched amenities include a full-service spa, a well-equipped fitness center, a destination dining experience by José Andrés, two pools, and a Beach Club catering to the who’s who of Miami.

What you will be responsible for:

• Food preparation and presentation in one or more stations of a large commercial kitchen: pantry, saute, grill.
• Follow standardized recipes and ensure consistent preparation according to guest specifications
• Participate in cleaning of kitchen areas and equipment
• Assist with proper storage, preparation, cooking and presentation of all food items
• Assist with food preparation in advance of food service hours
• Follow all safety guidelines include safe handling of food items, knife safety, safe usage of kitchen equipment, etc.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience cooking in a commercial kitchen, preferably in a full-service boutique or luxury resort environment with multiple outlets and concepts.
• Prior experience with computer operations helpful.
• Must be able to communicate professionally in English, both written and verbal. Conversational abilities in Spanish helpful.
• Must be able to multi-task and display ability to recognize that the team members’ and guests’ needs are always primary. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as business dictates.
