Job summary

Andaz Miami Beach is seeking a Server dedicated to delivering exceptional food and beverage service with hospitality flair. You will greet guests, take orders, and provide menu recommendations while maintaining efficiency in a high-volume setting.

You'll collaborate with teammates and kitchen staff, uphold safety and sanitation standards, and adapt to varied shifts, including evenings and holidays. Prior hospitality or customer service experience is preferred, and Micros POS knowledge is a bonus.

Job Description

Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa is looking for a Server who is an excited, qualified, hard-working individual with a passion for hospitality and a commitment to superior guest service. Experience with Micros and high volume is beneficial but not required. The Server is responsible to ensure exceptional dining experiences for guests. Our Servers are the face of the restaurant, interacting directly with customers to take orders, provide menu recommendations, and deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately. A friendly and professional demeanor, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will contribute to the overall success of the establishment.

Duties and functions

• Uphold company policies and procedures, including adhering to work schedules, dress code, and attendance guidelines.
• Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
• Performs opening side work and set up station
• Attends and participates in any training sessions, department meetings
• Provides professional and exceptional food and beverage service
• Make recommendations based on guests' preferences and dietary restrictions.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy and good presentation, and timed so the entire table is served within a reasonable time frame.
• Check on guests during their meals to ensure satisfaction and address requests/concerns.
• Refill drinks, clear plates, and reset tables to maintain a clean and organized dining area.
• Provide attentive and personalized service, anticipating guests' needs.
• Collaborate with fellow servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20lbs
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in the hospitality industry.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude, and enjoyment of the hospitality industry.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
• Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
• Attention to detail, ensuring accurate order-taking and payment processing.
• Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including dietary restrictions and allergies.
• Basic math skills for handling payments and calculating tips.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
