Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation at Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa in Miami Beach, FL is seeking a Cook 3 to join our luxury culinary team. The role covers food preparation and presentation across pantry, sauté, and grill stations, following standardized recipes to guest specifications in a large commercial kitchen.

Qualified candidates have a minimum of 3 years cooking in a commercial kitchen, strong English communication, ability to lift 25 lbs, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in culinary arts or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience cooking in a commercial kitchen, preferably in a full-service boutique or luxury resort environment with multiple outlets and concepts.
• Prior experience with computer operations helpful.
• Must be able to communicate professionally in English, both written and verbal. Conversational abilities in Spanish helpful.
• Must be able to multi-task and display ability to recognize that the team members' and guests' needs are always primary. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as business dictates.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and presentation in one or more stations of a large commercial kitchen: pantry, saute, grill.
• Follow standardized recipes and ensure consistent preparation according to guest specifications
• Participate in cleaning of kitchen areas and equipment
• Assist with proper storage, preparation, cooking and presentation of all food items
• Assist with food preparation in advance of food service hours
• Follow all safety guidelines include safe handling of food items, knife safety, safe usage of kitchen equipment, etc.

The property boasts 287 guestrooms including 64 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach. Each suite is designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, most with deep-soaking tubs, and cozy reading nooks.
