Job summary

The Willows of Ramsey Hill, part of Episcopal Homes of Minnesota, is seeking a part-time Chef to join our memory care kitchen in St. Paul. You will prepare meals according to recipes and dietary guidelines, while upholding high standards of quality, safety, and presentation.

As part of a collaborative culinary team, you’ll manage portioning, minimize waste, and ensure a clean, organized kitchen. Weekend rotation and consistent hours support a stable schedule for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous food preparation or production experience
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Basic math skills for portioning and food preparation
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and dietary guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds
• Ability to work in hot and cold kitchen environments

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to recipes, production sheets, and dietary guidelines
• Ensure food meets standards for quality, portion size, temperature, and presentation
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and work area
• Complete production and tally sheets accurately
• Use ingredients and leftovers efficiently to help reduce food waste
• Monitor food and supply needs and report shortages as needed
• Report equipment concerns or malfunctions promptly
• Work collaboratively with the culinary team to provide a positive dining experience for residents

Chef – The Willows of Ramsey Hill | Part-Time

The Willows of Ramsey Hill, part of Episcopal Homes of Minnesota, is a specialized memory care community in St.Paul dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centered care for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other forms of memory loss.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $21.00–$26.00/hour, based on experience
• Schedule: Part-Time, 0.4 FTE
• Hours: 9:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday
