The Harbor & The Haven, situated in Norwood Young America, seeks a part-time cook to prepare and serve daily meals for residents and guests. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service and 27 hours weekly schedule within a supportive, resident-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to menu and dietary needs, using safe and sanitary food handling practices.
• Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards to deliver high-quality, attractive meals on schedule.
• Receive, label, and store food properly to ensure safety and minimize waste.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and work areas.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any issues to the Chef Supervisor.
• Support and direct Wait Staff as needed; assist with training and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with state food safety regulations, including HACCP and the Minnesota Food Code.
• Communicate concerns or incidents to management promptly.

At The Harbor & The Haven, our mission is to redefine what it means to age with joy and dignity. Our community consists of 61 assisted living and 12 memory care apartments. We believe that providing exceptional care starts with a happy, supported team. We are located in Norwood Young America, approximately 50 minutes southwest of Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for preparing and serving the daily meals to the residents and guests at The Harbor/Haven Assisted Living. This position must fulfill expectations of exceptional customer service. This position is scheduled to work 27 hours a week.
