The Willows of Ramsey Hill, part of Episcopal Homes of Minnesota, is hiring a part-time chef to join our culinary team and provide compassionate dining experiences for residents living with Alzheimer's and memory loss.

Prepare meals per recipes, maintain safety and portion control, and collaborate with staff to minimize waste while delivering high-quality meals in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Fluent reading/writing/speaking English.
• Basic math for portions and cooking measurements.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
• Experience in healthcare or senior living preferred.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to recipes and dietary guidelines.

The Willows of Ramsey Hill is a specialized memory care community dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centered care for individuals living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other forms of memory loss. We are currently hiring a Chef to join our outstanding culinary team and support our mission of providing exceptional dining experiences for residents.

Wage: $21.00-$26.00/hr. DOE

Schedule: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday 9:30am-6:00pm) FTE 0.2 FTE

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare food according to recipes, dietary guidelines, and production sheets.
• Ensure food meets standards for portion control, temperature, and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work area.
• Utilize leftovers effectively by creating marketable dishes.
• Complete production and tally sheets accurately.
• Report malfunctioning equipment or food shortages promptly.
• Follow all safety and food handling policies.
• Reduce waste through proper portion control and efficient production.
• Collaborate with the culinary team and complete related tasks as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

• Prior food production experience, preferably in healthcare or senior living.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Basic math skills for portioning and simple calculations.
• Knowledge of food safety and special diets.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Experience in healthcare or senior care settings preferred.
• Physically able to meet job demands, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 35 lbs., and working in hot or cold environments
