Job summary

Legacy of St Michael Senior Living is seeking a skilled Chef/Cook to join our team in St. Michael, MN. You will prepare meals according to resident diets, recipes, and menus while maintaining high sanitation standards.

This full-time role operates on a 6:30am-2:30pm shift with every-other-weekend rotation. Wage range is $17.50–$22.50 per hour, and benefits include paid time off, 401k, and tuition assistance opportunities.

Qualifications

Legacy of St. Michael Senior Living is conveniently located in St. Michael, MN. It is a stunning facility that offers 95 total units between Assisted Living, Independent living, and memory care. Shifts: Full-Time (6:30am-2:30pm) every other weekend rotation only.
Wage: $17.50-$22.50

In this position,you will beresponsible for preparing food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations. Duties include:

• Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures.
• Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils.
• Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy.
• Ensure proper storage for food and supplies.
• Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.
• Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families, and employees.
• Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use.
