Job summary

The Sewanee Inn Sewanee is seeking a professional Line Cook to prepare food to the chef’s exact specifications and to set up stations for the menu. You will assist the executive and sous chefs with daily tasks and help ensure consistent quality.

Responsibilities include setting up and stocking food items, cutting, chopping, grilling, frying and sautéing to recipes, maintaining cleanliness, completing inventory logs, and upholding food-safety standards while supporting guests’ satisfaction.

• Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
• Cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
• Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
• Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.

Job description
