Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf is seeking a Cook 2 for Trilogy at Vistancia's Golf Club & V’s Taproom in Peoria, AZ. The role involves food preparation, cooking, and serving within a fast-paced culinary team led by Kitchen management.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of kitchen cooking experience, and a current Food Handlers card. Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred, or the equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum of two years’ cooking experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Current Food Handlers card.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret documents; read cooking instructions.
• Able to communicate effectively before groups of customers or team members.
• Must be self-motivated, proactive and a team player.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Work and master one kitchen station; take responsibility for decisions.
• Ensure standards of service meet guest and employee requirements.
• Proactively address guest concerns and resolve issues.
• Follow cleaning schedule to maintain a sanitary kitchen.
• Read and follow cooking instructions; read recipes and prepare items.
• Prepare, bake, roast, broil, and steam foods as required.
• Carve meats and plate meals with gravies and sauces.
• Support additional duties as assigned.
