Job Summary

Summary: Directly supervises food-service associates according to policies, procedures, and laws.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines staff; addresses complaints and resolves issues.
• Advises management on purchasing needs, focusing on minimizing waste and preventing shortages.
• Uses approved recipes and standards to ensure quality, proper serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Operates and cleans equipment following department procedures after use.
• Stores, labels, and dates food items; maintains food rotation to minimize spoilage and waste.
• Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety and quality.
• Operates food-service equipment safely and according to policies.
• Helps serve meals; remains available during meal times to receive customer feedback.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
