Job summary

NewVista Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced cook to support meals in a therapeutic setting. You will prepare and serve meals, follow safety and health standards, and assist with plating and delivery.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 21+ years old, and a Food Safety Certification. On-site kitchen with benefits and opportunities for growth are provided.

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Food safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to recipes and portion sizes.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and follow health standards.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work areas and utensils.
• Deliver food to service area and assist with plating as directed.

Pay: $15-18/hr.

Solero is currently seeking experienced Cooks to work in a therapeutic setting providing care and treatment to patients with a history of behavioral health treatment. Previous experience working with behavioral health patients is strongly preferred.

Must work every other weekend

The Role Itself

• Preparation and service of meals.
• Utilizes protective gear in allappropriatefunctions
• Places prepared food on plates/trays in accordance with tray tickets in line with our established policies and procedures, and, as may be directed by the Executive Chef to ensure that quality food service is provided at all times.
• Prepares and delivers food, washes dishes and cleans and sanitizes kitchen according to health standards.

Education:

• High school diploma, GED, or relevant work experience combination.
• Must be 21 yrs or older.

License: Food Safe Certification
