Job summary

Asbury Springhill is seeking a full-time kitchen helper to assist in simple hot and cold food preparation and batch cooking, ensuring quality. You will follow production sheets, report shortages, and help implement menu changes under the Chef’s supervision.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience. Benefits include competitive medical/dental/vision and a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists in simple recipes for hot and cold food preparation. Batch cooks items ensuring optimal food quality; i.e., scrambled eggs, french-fries, vegetables, fish, etc.
• Follows “counts” designated on production sheets, as written.
• Informs Chef when a recipe or food production sheet needs to be modified and informs Chef of potential shortages.
• Instructs attendants in regards to menu offerings and/or menu changes.
• Practices standards of food sanitation, infection control, and quality assurance.

Pay & Compensation

• Full Time Position
• Hours: Tuesday through Saturday 930am-6pm
• Pay: $17.00/hour
• This position may be eligible for a shift differential depending upon schedule.
