Job summary

Sands Point Center for Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a Cook to prepare, cook, and serve a variety of foods, including baked goods, and to assist on the tray line during meals. The role includes maintaining hygiene and performing general kitchen cleaning.

The candidate should hold ServSafe certification, have at least 2 years of large-scale cooking experience, and be able to work physically. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Certification in healthcare cooking (ServSafe).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in large-scale cooking.
• Strong knowledge of large-scale and therapeutic food prep.
• Ability to do some physical work.
• Strong team player with customer service and communication skills.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to manage the kitchen in the absence of the food service director.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of foods, including baking rolls, cookies, cakes, and pies.
• Work on the tray line during meal service to ensure patient and resident care.

About the Role
