Position: Cook

We are hiring a cook to prepare healthy and tasty meals and snacks for children in our centers. Following menus and recipes developed by our in-house nutritionist, you'll ensure children have the necessary fuel to learn and grow.

As a Cook, you will:

• Maintain kitchen and equipment safely and hygienically
• Order food and supplies
• Dispense and store medication as requested
• Complete accurate documentation according to KinderCare and licensing requirements
• Support daily center duties as needed
• Partner with staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement

Required Skills and Experience:

• A love for children and a desire to make a difference daily
• Knowledge of food storage, allergies, and cross-contamination prevention
• Ability to follow nutritious menus and prepare sufficient quantities
• Basic math skills for measuring and serving
• Food Handler's License or willingness to obtain one
• At least one year of institutional cooking experience; food ordering experience is a plus
• Experience working with children is highly desirable
• Proficiency with computers and ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Fluency in English for communication with children and parents
