Job summary

Friendly's Restaurants is hiring a Grill Cook to join a fast-paced kitchen team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, hot meals quickly while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

You must learn and execute all recipes accurately, keep orders flowing, and ensure each dish meets quality and presentation standards. Requirements include a background in commercial food preparation and the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Commercial food preparation background or experience preferred.
• Must know safety information regarding all materials used within the scope of work.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Properly learn and execute all recipe procedures.

• Be the final quality control checkpoint and ensure peak quality.
• Be a quality maniac and ensure food arrives at the table with eye appeal and temperature.
• Work as a team to maximize efficiency.
• Alert team members of online orders for coordination.

• Always consider eye appeal as well as taste and temperature.
• Be a quality maniac! Make sure food arrives at the table at peak quality.
• Make products as fast as possible, with precision and fantastic eye appearance.
• Inform management of slow‑downs and the need to take corrective action.
• Work as a team – utilize our systems and procedures for maximum efficiency.
• Alert team members of online orders to ensure coordination of all products.
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Commercial food preparation background / experience preferred.
• Education: high school graduate or equivalent.
• Must be capable of performing all functions and meeting all qualification standards.
• Must know safety information regarding all materials used within the scope of the work.
• Mobility and the ability to walk and stand during an entire shift or extended period of time.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must participate in company orientation and training.
• Must be able to follow instructions.
• Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position.
