Job summary

All American Assisted Living at Tinton Falls is seeking a dedicated cook to prepare meals for residents in a team-oriented kitchen. You will follow established menus and dietary requirements while maintaining food safety and presentation standards.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience in healthcare or senior living.
• Knowledge of food preparation and sanitation.
• Ability to follow recipes and production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and menus.
• Ensure meals are on time and meet quality standards.
• Follow food safety and kitchen safety requirements.
• Accommodate residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
• Label, date, rotate and store food properly.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe kitchen.
• Assist with receiving, storing and inventory.
• Support dining services and assist with events.
• Complete additional kitchen duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes, menus, and production schedules
• Ensure meals are prepared on time and meet quality and presentation standards
• Follow food safety, sanitation, infection-control, and kitchen safety requirements
• Prepare meals that accommodate residents’ dietary needs, restrictions, and preferences
• Review menus and production sheets before meal preparation
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen
• Properly label, date, rotate, and store food and ingredients
• Monitor food temperatures and complete required documentation
• Assist with receiving, storing, and maintaining food supplies
• Monitor inventory and notify the supervisor when supplies are neededOperate kitchen equipment safely and properly
• Work closely with Dining Services staff to support smooth meal service
• Assist with special events, holiday meals, and resident programs as needed
• Complete additional kitchen and food service duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, senior living, or similar food service environment
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and food safety practices
• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and production schedules
