Job description

Join the Outback family as a Line Cook, where you will be passionately preparing, portioning, and cooking food items to Outback’s quality specifications. As a Cook, you will be committed to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during the shift. You will also be preparing food with proper safety equipment, tools, and recipe specs. As a Line Cook, you’ll help to provide each customer with an AUS-SOME dining experience in the restaurant, through your passion and commitment.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare food items efficiently and accurately, taking pride in each dish.
  2. Work in a well-designed kitchen with designated areas for Salad, Fry, Dessert, Sauté, Grill, and Make Up, along with Kitchen Prep Cooks.
  3. Maintain equipment and keep your surroundings clean.
  4. Collaborate with team members to meet preparation and delivery standards.
  5. Follow safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during your shift.
  6. Use proper safety equipment, tools, and recipe specifications under management’s guidance.
  7. Restock kitchen and cook line as needed, practicing food safety and sanitation.
Requirements
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs; capable of working in hot and cold environments.
  • Ability to walk, stand, or bend for extended periods while performing job duties.
  • Vision abilities including distance, close, color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
