Job summary

Vista Senior Living Management, and Eden Vista Stow, is seeking a Cook for full-time evening shift with alternating weekends. You will set up stations, prepare ingredients, and cook meals for residents with attention to presentation and safety.

Qualifications

• Must have ServeSafe certification and proven cooking experience.
• Experience with cutting tools, cookware and bakeware.
• Knowledge of grilling, baking, boiling and other cooking procedures.
• Ability to follow sanitation procedures and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat).
• Cook food in various utensils or grillers.
• Check food while cooking to stir or turn.
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
• Check quality of ingredients.
• Monitor stock and place orders when shortages occur.

Position: Cook (Full-time)

Schedule: PM (11:30am-7:30pm) and Flexible AM (6:30am-2:00pm) with every other weekend and holidays
