Job Overview

Prepares meals for guests, maintains cleanliness in the kitchen, and complies with health regulations.

Essential Functions
  1. Read menus to estimate food requirements and order supplies.
  2. Adjust oven, boiler, grill, and other equipment temperatures.
  3. Prepare ingredients and cook menu items following recipes.
  4. Set up and stock kitchen stations.
  5. Cook and collaborate with kitchen staff to serve quality food.
  6. Clean work stations and manage waste properly.
  7. Manage inventory and ensure proper food storage and dating.
  8. Ensure timely and high-quality food service.
  9. Follow sanitation, nutrition, and safety standards.
  10. Maintain professionalism and positive interactions with coworkers and guests.
  11. Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints.
  12. Adhere to company policies, safety, and brand standards.
  13. Operate kitchen equipment in compliance with laws and regulations.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations.
  • Ability to use kitchen tools and equipment skillfully.
  • Ability to read recipes and measure ingredients accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and responsibility for work quality.
  • Proficiency in English; multilingual skills are a plus.
  • Quick thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred. Food Handlers Card required; additional local or state certifications may be necessary.

Physical and Environmental Demands

Work is primarily indoors with moderate temperatures, but may involve exposure to high heat, grease, and cold environments like walk-in freezers. Standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds are required. The role may involve noise, outdoor conditions, and chemical exposure. Accommodations can be made for disabilities.
