You may also assist in supervising kitchen operations in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook meals according to approved menus and dietary guidelinesEnsure compliance with special and therapeutic diets, including texture-modified mealsMaintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environmentFollow food safety, sanitation, and portion control standardsMonitor and record food temperaturesAssist with meal service and ensure appealing food presentationMaintain proper sanitizer levels and follow cleaning schedulesClean kitchen equipment, work areas, and serving cartsCollaborate with dietary team and other departmentsReport resident concerns or issues to leadership as neededSupervise kitchen operations in the absence of the Dietary SupervisorQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAt least 1 year of cooking experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term careMust obtain and maintain ServSafe CertificationKnowledge of food safety, sanitation, and dietary needsExperience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferredStrong teamwork and communication skillsReliable, organized, and detail-orientedWe are an equal opportunity employer.
