Job summary

Asbury Solomons in Southern Maryland is hiring a full-time cook for 11am–7:30pm shifts, every other weekend and holiday. You will set up steam tables, monitor temperatures, and deliver high-quality service in a senior living dining program.

Requires at least two years in quantity food production; HS diploma preferred; Maryland Food Handler’s Certificate preferred. Asbury offers medical, dental, vision, 401k with match, PTO and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in quantity food production.
• Maryland Food Handler’s Certificate preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up the steamtable on time to prevent delays in the tray line.
• Ensures food temperatures are maintained at appropriate temperatures per state and federal regulations; monitors temperatures throughout meal service.
• Provides the highest quality of service to customers at all times.
• Follows recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other food for consumption in eating establishments.
• Instructs attendants in regard to menu offerings and/or menu changes.
• Practices standards of food sanitation, infection control, and quality assurance.

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-Time, 40 hours weekly
• 11am - 7:30pm
• Requires working every other weekend & every other holiday
• $19.25/hour
