Our franchise organization, Jax, LLC dba Golden Corral, is currently seeking energetic, friendly individuals to join our team!

Position: Cook

The Cook is responsible for ensuring the quality, quantity, taste, and freshness of all Hot Choice Buffet products. The role requires attention to speed, cleanliness, organization, and adherence to product specifications.

Responsibilities:

1. Food Production:
   • Prepare Hot Choice Buffet products, including Carving and Display Cooking, following Golden Corral recipes and procedures.
   • Grill items according to standards to ensure quality.
   • Ensure fried products are fresh and hot.
   • Restock items at the Display Cooking Station if the Buffet Attendant is unavailable.
   • Assist guests with carved meat options if the Carver is unavailable.
   • Follow the buffet production system to maintain quality and shelf life compliance.
2. Operational Excellence:
   • Maintain correct temperature of all products during cooking, holding, and serving.
   • Use the Hot Choice Buffet Production Guide and Display Cooking Hot Cook Production Guide for inventory management.
   • Conduct opening and closing administrative procedures.
   • Maintain equipment according to the Equipment Maintenance manual.
   • Restock and rotate food using FIFO method.
   • Take inventory and coordinate with the Manager at shift start and end.
3. Cleanliness:
   • Keep the Hot Cook area and smallwares clean; check dishes for cleanliness.
   • Perform duty roster, ensuring cleanliness, service, and quality standards are met.
   • Follow local health department laws.
   • Keep the Char Grill clean and scraped for quality and sanitation.
4. Guest Service:
   • Ensure Hot Choice Buffet products are always hot and fresh for guests.
   • Follow responsibilities for just-in-time delivery.
   • Be friendly and courteous; assist guests with products.
   • Maintain professional communication at all times.
