Sequim Rehabilitation is seeking a Full-Time Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare meals for residents according to menus and dietary guidelines, ensuring quality, presentation, and safety.

Join a team that values reliability and attention to detail. You’ll help maintain a clean kitchen, monitor inventory, and assist with menu planning, including both morning and afternoon shifts.

Formación

• Experience in large quantity food preparation.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure meals meet quality, presentation, and food safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and work area.
• Follow all applicable health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Monitor food and supply inventory and assist with ordering as needed.
• Work collaboratively with culinary team members to support efficient daily operations.
• Assist with menu planning and meal preparation as needed.
• Help create a positive dining experience for our residents.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking or culinary experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Dependable with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Culinary certification or related training is preferred but not required.

Full-time shifts may include:

• Morning Shift: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
• Afternoon Shift: 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Licenses/Certification

• ServSafe Food Safety Certification required.
• Food Handlers permit if required per state regulations.

Experience

• Six months' experience in large quantity food preparation. Experience with therapeutic diet preparation preferred.
• Six months experience in a long term care environment preferred.
• NOTE: Federal Child Labor Laws do not permit employees younger than 18 years of age to work with or repair, adjust, or clean power-driven machines such as meat slicers and commercial mixers. Therefore, individuals must be at least 18 years of age to be employed in this position.
