Job summary

Bayview in Seattle is seeking a LineCook to produce nutritious, high quality meals for residents, guests and staff. Following menus, recipes, and safety guidelines, you will help ensure meals are served with appealing presentation, correct temperatures, and on time.

The role requires at least one year in food service in a health care setting, knowledge of therapeutic diets and HACCP, and ability to read/write English.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in a health care food service setting and cooking.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets.
• Knowledge of sanitary practices and HACCP guidelines.
• Ability to read and write English with accuracy.
• Holds current Washington State Food Handler’s permit.
• Experience aligned with the duties listed below.

STATUS: Full-Time

SCHEDULE: 10:30am - 7pm - Rotating Schedule (includes weekends)

SALARY: $26.50 + DOE. Non-Exempt/Hourly

This person is responsible for producing nutritious, high quality food in accordance with specified menus, recipes, techniques, laws, regulations, and safety guidelines. You would assure food is served to residents, guests and staff with an appealing appearance, palatable temperature, savory aroma, and delicious taste. You would ensuremeals are prepared in a timely manner and in adequate quantity.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and Skill

• One or more years of experience working in a Food Service capacity in a health care facility and one or more years cooking food.
• Knowledgeable of therapeutic diets.
• Knowledgeable of sanitary practices and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) guidelines.
• Ability to read and write English with accuracy.
• Holds current State of Washington Food Handler’s permit.
• Demonstrated skill and experience in all of the categories mentioned as Specific Duties and Responsibilities.
