Job summary

PCC Community Markets is seeking a cook to prepare foods for the deli, hot bar, soup bar and other deli stations in our Madison Valley location in Seattle. You will provide excellent customer service and produce foods according to PCC recipes, while maintaining sanitation and safety standards.

Responsibilities include assisting with recipe development and costing, packaging duties, and potentially supervising other kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• 2+ years previous production cooking experience preferred.
• A current Washington State Food Worker Card is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.

Main Job Responsibilities

Qualifications And Skills

• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends
• 2+ years previous production cooking experience preferred
• Able to work in a fast pace kitchen environment
• Familiarity with specialty and prepared foods
• Excellent communication, organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion and lifting 10-40lbs regularly
• A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
