As a Full-Time Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide variety of foods for residents/patients, employees, and visitors. You will prepare food according to menus and recipes, plan cooking schedules to meet mealtime schedules, and perform related duties and cleaning duties as assigned. In the absence of the Food Service Director and Assistant Food Service Director/Chef Manager, you will direct other Food and Nutrition Services employees.

Perform related duties and cleaning duties as assigned
Direct other Food and Nutrition Services employees in the absence of the Food Service Director and Assistant Food Service Director/Chef Manager
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Monitor food quality and presentation
Maintain accurate records of food preparation, inventory, and supplies
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience in commercial/volume food preparation required
Serve-Safe Certification required
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the spoken English language
Verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law and in accordance with Company policy
Ability to positively interact with residents/patients
Ability to solve operational problems in absence of Food Service Director and Assistant Food Service Director/Chef Manager
Considerable knowledge of volume food production methods and techniques
Considerable knowledge of sanitation regulations and practices
Ability to make simple arithmetical calculations
Knowledge of regulations pertaining to department and center
Basic knowledge of food-related nutrition principles
Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment
Competitive hourly rate: $18-$23 per hour
Full-time position with flexible hours and occasional weekends required
