Prepare and cook a wide variety of foods for residents/patients, employees, and visitors
Plan and coordinate meal services to meet mealtime schedules
Prepare food according to menus and recipes, and ensure that all food is served safely and attractively
Direct other Food and Nutrition Services employees in the absence of the Food Service Director and Assistant Food Service Director/Chef Manager
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to sanitation regulations and practices
Perform related duties and cleaning duties, as assigned
Collaborate with Food Service Director and Assistant Food Service Director/Chef Manager to ensure effective food service operations
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience in commercial/volume food preparation required
Serve-Safe Certification required
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the spoken English language
Must provide verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law and in accordance with Company policy
Strong knowledge of volume food production methods and techniques, sanitation regulations and practices, and food-related nutrition principles
Ability to positively interact with residents/patients and solve operational problems in absence of Food Service Director and Assistant Food Service Director/Chef Manager
Competitive hourly rate: $23 - $25 per hour
