Job summary

Vassar Public Schools is seeking a part-time Food Service Helper for a Monday–Friday shift from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm during the school year. Responsibilities include food preparation, dishwashing, meal service, cashier duties, and general cleaning under the supervision of the Food Service Director.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, regular attendance, and a willingness to cross-train in all food service duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred, not required.
• Regular, reliable and punctual attendance.
• Willingness to cross-train in all food service duties including food prep and washing dishes.
• Ability to maintain a clean food service area and adhere to sanitation and safety protocols.
• Maintain high personal hygiene and workstation cleanliness; professional conduct.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Good people skills and self-motivation.
• Must lift 50 lb.
• Flexibility with building assignments.
