Monarch Mountain is seeking a Cook for the winter season to prepare quality food for Gunbarrel, Elmo’s, Sidewinder Saloon, and Java Stop. Enjoy the mountains and the perks of a complimentary Monarch Mountain Season Pass while delivering timely, friendly service to guests.

Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation, teamwork in a fast-paced setting, and flexible hours across mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum Age: 18
• Legal citizen of the United States or have proper work permit authentication
• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
• Ability to push, lift, and move up to 35 lbs
• Stand for long periods and work with hot cooking appliances
• Work at high elevation (up to 12,000'), in adverse weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items for the designated venues in a timely and consistent manner
• Work as a team with other Food & Beverage staff
• Observe and follow health and sanitation rules and regulations
• Keep all food items stocked, rotated, and prepared daily
• Communicate with guests in a polite and professional manner and process orders quickly

Cooks should have a positive attitude, enjoy preparing quality food, and strive for a clean and organized work environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:The Cook responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Prepare all food items for the Gunbarrel, Elmo’s, Sidewinder Saloon, and/or Java Stop in a timely and consistent manner.Work as a team with other members of the Food & Beverage department.Observe and practice all health and sanitation rules and regulation regarding food handling, cleaning, and safety procedures.Keep all food items appropriately stocked, rotated, and prepared every day.Communicate with Monarch Ski Area guests in a polite and professional manner as well as processing their food orders quickly and courteously.Other duties as assigned.
