Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete meals with accompaniments and garnishes.
• Follow recipes and plate service for presentation.
• Advance preparation as indicated and maintain records.
• Perform food quality and temperature checks at each meal.
• Store food items properly, dated and labeled, at close of service.
• Clean work area and equipment; follow safety and sanitation rules.
• Ensure hot food prep aligns with procedures and regulations.
• Adhere to policies and procedures; participate in safety trainings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Shifts available are 530am-130 pm or 1100am to 700 pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for complete meal preparation, including accompaniments and garnishes.
• Does eye-appealing, tasty food items following recipes provided for preparation and plate service of food.
• Does advance preparation as indicated.
• Completes food quality evaluations and temperature checks at each meal.
• Completes preparation records and stores food items properly at close of meal service (dated and labeled).
• Cleans work area and equipment used in food preparation.
• Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices.
• Ensures that all hot food preparation and assembling is done in accordance with established procedures, and according to State Regulations.
• Assumes responsibility for self-safety and that of immediate work environment.
• Attending annual in-service on body mechanics, right-to-know laws and fire and safety procedures.
• Adheres to all Policies and Procedures.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A strong commitment to customer service
• Familiarity with privacy laws and confidentially (preferably in a healthcare/medical office setting)
• Ability to set priorities and multi-task
• Strong organizational skills
• Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with 2+ years of experience in the field or in a related area
• Physical demands include, but not limited to, standing, sitting, walking, carrying, kneeling, bending and lifting up to 50lbs. Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation and handling techniques.
• Comprehensive knowledge of safety and sanitation rules and practices.
• Ability to work well independently and with others as directed by the Director of Dining.
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow provided recipes.
• Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50lb
