Pay for this position is $18.07/hour. This is an hourly position.

$2,000 sign-on bonus with a work commitment of 1 year.

Overview

Position Summary: Prepares and presents high-quality food within specified time frames for patient and retail services. Properly follows safe food handling procedures. Takes customers' orders and prepares the order according to recipes, considering additional customer specifications or dietary needs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: 6 months in healthcare or restaurant facility.
• Licensure/Certification: Illinois Food Safety Sanitation Certification (or within 1 year of hire). Anyone hired into the Cook position at Saint Francis Medical Center (Peoria, IL) prior to 9/1/2020 is considered grandfathered and exempt from this requirement.
• Other certifications: Food Service and Sanitation Certification. Cooks at Heart of Mary Medical Center (HMMC) & Motherhouse do not require FSSMC or CFPM certifications but must have Food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Skills/Knowledge: Basic math skills, ability to follow instructions, capable of working in a fast-paced environment, and flexible to adapt to schedule and environment changes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, Culinary Degree.
• Experience: 2 years as a cook in a healthcare facility.
