Job summary

TerraBella Senior Living in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Cook to join TerraBella Pheasant Ridge community. You will prepare hot and cold menu items, ensuring proper portioning and serving according to recipes and cycle menus.

This role supports our residents with quality meals in a compassionate, community-focused environment. Previous senior living experience is preferred; you should be organized, able to work weekends, and committed to food safety and presentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior living environments preferred.
• Experience with production methods, portion control, and food handling safety.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and presentation of food products.
• Weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

TerraBella Senior Living is looking for a Cook to join our community, TerraBella Pheasant Ridge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold menu items which requires working on the grill, sauté station, salad-bar and on the service line;
• Ensure the proper preparation, portioning and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and the standardized recipes;
• Taste and prepare food to determine quality and palatability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Senior Living preferred
• Experience with production methods, portion control and food handling safety required.
• Great organizational skills a must
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail and presentation of food product is required.
• Must be able to work weekends.
